Learning objectives

Over the course of four days, you will learn the theory and practice of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the extended psychological flexibility model. By exploring the six core processes of psychological flexibility – such as acceptance, cognitive defusion, present-moment awareness, self-as-context, values, and committed action – you will learn how these processes work together to foster meaningful change. Through hands-on exercises, you will learn how to apply ACT interventions to your clients’ individual challenges, build effective therapeutic relationships, and conceptualize your cases with an innovative network approach, allowing you to create more personalized treatment plans. Furthermore, you will learn how to integrate ACT methods into your existing expertise to promote lasting, values-driven change.

Note: The state of the evidence, risks and limitations, and contraindications will be addressed throughout the training as appropriate.
